As a preface, before the 4Runner existed, Griffith Motor Homes converted a few Hilux’s to SUVs from 1981 to 1983, in joint with Toyota. They called this SUV, the Trailblazer. This conversion is part of what got Toyota into the small SUV business, along with Winnebago’s Trekker, which they made slightly more of. An estimated 400 of these Trailblazers were made. I’m sure most of them rusted away, but this one has not.

Someone is in the process of ruining one. This needs to be restored, but I have predicted it’s future since I can’t afford it: It will have 38” Super Swampers shoved under them, the fenders will be cut, the 22R will be replaced with something less reliable, and it will rust into oblivion due to being used as a mud toy.
It will become this:
When it should become this:
Someone please save this.
PLEASE!

It’s not cut, has a relatively clean body, and the mods are reversible, so totally worth it to me. Plus, it could probably be talked down.
